The mindful smartphone developed specifically for people living with dementia. A single, simple screen with helpful pictures of contacts to help your loved one stay connected.

Key Features:

  • Large and clear screen with no unnecessary information.
  • Pictures and names of up to 6 contacts.
  • Online portal for caregivers to track location and edit features.
  • One touch dialling and answering.

The RAZ mobile phone has a single screen. The screen has only 3 elements: pictures and names of contacts, and button for emergency calls and the time. That’s it! There’s no locking, no adjusting the volume (its always on full) and no fiddling with various apps; just communication. Your loved one can call any of their contacts with a single long press on their image, and when being called it will be clearly displayed who is calling. This means it will be much easier for you to check-in with your loved one, and make it simpler for them to contact their support network when they need help.

The team who developed the RAZ understand that people living with dementia can become easily confused by modern smartphones, but it is vital that they are able to stay connected to loved ones. This device is the solution - easy to use with a number of helpful features that can be enabled remotely by loved ones via the online portal.

There are a number of helpful features that can be turn on and off by caregivers. This includes location tracking, which is updated every 15 minutes throughout the day with information available at any time through the online portal. You can block all incoming calls other than the contacts to protect your loved one against predatory sales calls. You can even block outgoing calls to reduce mistaken calls but ensure you can check in at any time.

Available for a small subscription fee is the RAZ Emergency Service. This will redirect emergency calls to a designated response agent rather than 911. This person will be aware of the caller’s dementia and will be able to assess whether or not emergency services are needed. Upon pressing the emergency call button, messages will be sent to the designated caregivers giving them the opportunity to cancel the call so that emergency services are not contacted unnecessarily.
