Putting together a memory box is a useful activity for someone with dementia as it can stir thoughts of happy moments in life and give that person something to talk about. It’s also useful for the carer, as it helps them to build a clearer picture of who the person is they’re caring for including their personal history and their interests.
It’s a great way of building a connection between the person with dementia and their carer or family member, and can be a great bonding activity to do together.
To hang the Memory Box on a wall or door, we recommend you use two 30mm Philips, self tapping pozi screws. Once the screws are in place, simply slide the Memory Box onto the screws. The discrete fixings cannot be seen from the front.
